Angela M. Ruggiero

Angela Ruggiero is a four-time hockey Olympian, former Chairperson of the IOC Athletes' Commission, and all-time leader—man or woman—in games played for Team USA. In 2015, she became only the 4th woman ever inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. She works to ensure equitable and innovative sports solutions worldwide as a CEO, strategic advisor, and board member. Mother of two boys, Ruggiero is married to former trainer Sarah Cahill. She was a first-generation student at Harvard.
Ruggiero co-founded the Sports Innovation Lab to boost fan engagement, revenue growth, and identify trends through data-driven market research. As the Executive Director of the Women’s Sports Club, she leads a network of global experts to advance the business of women’s sports. During her tenure at the IOC Executive Board, Ruggiero worked to enhance gender equity and uphold athlete’s rights worldwide. She has also served on the IOC’s Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and its Ethics Commission.
According to sports and equity legend Billie Jean King, Ruggiero "just wants to make a difference in the world."
